What has happened in Christchurch in the last few days is an absolute tragedy.
I could not be prouder of the New Zealand Prime Minister, Jacinta Ardern has certainly outshone her counterparts here in Australia, showing real leadership skills with the stance she has taken on a unified front, certainly not full of the self-interest and divisiveness displayed by most Australian politicians who may finally receive a wake-up call around May when it comes to election time…

We are on the move after 11 years, moving all the way down the road to a retirement village right alongside Mount Tibrogargan in the Glasshouse Mountains. We are due to move on the 13th February all going well. Put the house on the market Friday of last week after spending a fair bit of time over Xmas decluttering, and had a conditional contract by the following Tuesday five days was all it took...

​The gereatric reindeers have had a reprieve this year, dismantled, the old lights have been thrown away, the frames have been spray painted to cover the rust stains and a couple of hundred plastic wire ties later new led lights with seven programmes have been added, and the kids in the neighbourhood think they are really cool, next year I might just add yoda and darth vader with light sabers, they could sit on the reindeers backs…

The Royal Tour to Australia by the Duke & Duchess of Sussex has with it bought a breath of fresh air and daily there appear to be magic moments happening as they meet the crowds that have turned out to meet them, like when young Luke was so excited to meet Prince Harry he went straight in for the hug, and he couldn’t resist feeling his beard, a reminder of his all time favourite Santa, even if it was red instead of white…
